Well, despite worries that we wouldn't be able to play the show, or have to play it Steven-less (God forbid!), a good time was had by all at the big show this past Friday. An MRI revealed a herniated disc in Steven's neck, which would explain the lack of feeling in his right hand. This caused a slight change in our planned setlist for Friday, we nixed a song where Steven plays drums, and then we nixed another new one that was making us nervous. But we did debut Rocky Records, a song whose lyrics were partly written by Steven's daughter, Garnet. She says some amazing things, some examples of which are here.
It was a fantastic show, we enjoyed Averkiou and Beat Buttons tremendously. It was a great confluence of great booking, great sound, great playing, and of course, Rock.
Steven's neck and hand are doing better, we think rocking actually helped.
In other news, we may be playing at a house party this weekend, the 29th, in honor of Harry's wife's best friend Uncle Chicken. Their band Chicken Luv as well as The Ones to Blame should be there, and I hope that we will be there. We haven't played a party in like 8 years.
Thanks for coming to the show, Steve Ware. I know that you're the only one that reads this.
Thanks for Rocking.
