Hey, Squeaky!

I was at the grand opening of the 2nd Street Bakery and some guy came up to me and goes, "Hey! Squeaky!". This is always a good greeting, as far as I'm concerned, so I stopped and talked to the guy. Turned out he was one of the architects involved in redoing the 2nd St. building. But he also used to live behind Everyman Sound Company, where Squeaky practiced for like 8 years. He said he got to know our songs pretty well from hearing them every week (they must have sounded like shit... all muffled and bass-heavy), and even liked us! I wish I had known this guy when GPD came and gave us a ticket for playing too loudly (those guys were jackasses).
Anyway, it was gratifying to talk to this dude. He had every reason to hate Squeaky (who would want to hear low-frequency thuds and drony guitars late Tuesday nights...) , and instead he thought we were a good band.
Other than that, you should know the history of the rock sign.
