It was a good show.

We certainly had a good time playing the show last night, it was nice to see some old-school fans come out - Steve Ware, Nicole Ancell, Chris Ross, and Ned Davis... If you squinted just right, you could imagine that you were at the Covered Dish. Thanks for coming, you guys.
There were a lot of good things about last night, so I will make a list.

  • Playing with Danny again was a blast, his enthusiasm and skills are great to be around, the old songs were tight, the new songs worked well.
  • We could hear stuff on stage, Derron did a great job, as usual.
  • Dinner all together was the real story, just sitting around at the Top with the Band. We've been talking for months, maybe even years, hey let's get together and just hang out, not talk about band stuff... but it never happens. Incredible mashed potatos, sweet potato fries, it was awesome. I'm sorry if I offended you when I stabbed my collard greens and shouted, "Holy shit!! Awwwwghhhh! Fuck!! This is so good!!". I'm enthusiastic about my food, ok? And I don't get out much.
  • Tapesntapes were at the Top, too. Say that 10 times fast.
  • Annuals were really interesting - at one point, the singer was singing (duh), playing a sampler with one hand and playing triplets on a floor tom with the other hand. That cannot be easy.
Anyway, thanks for rocking.
